Guidance Program for Scholars (GPS)

After Placement

Oliver remains tightly connected to Scholars once they have been accepted into prestigious schools. Transitioning Scholars are supported through regular visits with our counselors as well a growing mentorship program and ongoing events such as our Tuesday Talks and annual leadership conference, In Our Own Voices.

Program Highlights

We have expanded services to Scholars once they are accepted into high schools. The goal is to ensure a Scholar's success by providing a wider range of supportive programming. This includes:

Tutoring
Leadership trainings
Support from a Social Worker and Learning Specialist
Seminars in test anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse prevention, and financial literacy
