Programs

Oliver provides support and academic enrichment that prepares our Scholars for success in competitive middle school, high school, college, and professional environments. Through our programs, about half of each class of Scholars is placed in schools located in and around New York City. The other half attend boarding schools in the Northeast, mid-Atlantic, and, most recently, California. Oliver offers Scholars continuous support throughout high school, to ensure they succeed at their independent schools, and to give them the tools they need to matriculate into the college that best fits their talents and interests. Over the next four years, we are on track to double the number of students we serve.

Scholar Immersion and Placement (SIP)

Oliver works closely with students for 14 months as they select, apply to, and interview at independent day and boarding schools. Students are prepared to excel in a competitive independent school environment through weekend classes and two intensive, five-week summer programs (the summer programs for rising fifth and sixth graders are four weeks long). As part of the preparation for independent school, students study English, Mandarin, Math, History, Science, and Technology. They also participate in performing arts classes, leadership development courses, and community service events.
