View All Open PositionsReporting to the Operations Manager and COO, the Human Resources & Operations Intern will directly assist the Operations Manager with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, and volunteer intern programs. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in a non-profit setting and be better prepared to work in the arena of human resources and the nonprofit sector. The candidate will also have opportunities to network with the programs, finance, communications, and development staff.
Reporting to the Sr. Accountant, the Accounting Intern will directly assist Sr. Accountant with a wide range of projects related to accounting projects.
Reporting to the Chief Program and Equity Officer, the Scholar Services Intern will collaborate directly with the Scholar Services team to manage multiple administrative projects, track and input data, and help to organize and plan events, initiatives, and programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual to develop skills in supporting youth work and learn about education opportunities for high-achieving Black and Latinx students.

The instructor’s primary objective is to equip students with mindsets and practices to flourish academically at rigorous independent schools. Students should gain improved competency, skill, and habits of mind. The instructor will assist the Admissions & Placement and Academic Affairs departments to outline expected curricular outcomes and track student progress. This position reports to the Director of Academic Affairs and is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of scholarship and youth development with an educational nonprofit organization.

Position Summary and Reporting: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Development Officer is a key member of the leadership team and will work closely and seamlessly under the direction of the CEO with Donors, Program team, and Development team to drive fundraising efforts to support mission impact. At this time, Oliver Scholars seeks a seasoned fundraising professional who can a) serve as a thought partner with our committed senior leadership team; b) create a strategic fundraising program that capitalizes on existing fundraising relationships and opportunities; and, c) serve as a fundraising entrepreneur to attract new donors and sponsors with passion for supporting our promising Black and Latinx students. Succeeding in this environment will require a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit; the ability to employ a hands-on approach to connecting with a broad array of donors, volunteers, and champions; and, a deep commitment to our mission. The Chief Development Officer will collaborate with the organization’s leaders, staff, and board members to integrate an informed and enthusiastic fundraising perspective into all aspects of Oliver Scholars’ programs and operations. The successful applicant should have proven experience as a fundraising generalist, with several years of fundraising management experience in a non-profit organization of similar size and scope.

POSITION SUMMARY & REPORTING: Reporting to the Chief Enrollment and Academic Officer, the Assistant Director of Placement is an integral part of the placement team. They have both an internal and external role and is a key player in the operational success of the Admissions & Placement department.
The Assistant Director must be motivated by working with underserved youth and their families and excited by working in an entrepreneurial environment where being innovative and creative is celebrated. They must have an engaging personality, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a desire to help people since they will spend much time guiding others. They must be highly detailed-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. During certain times of the year, s/he will be required to work Tuesday – Saturday. During the summer program, they will be required to supervise scholars overnight in a residential setting.
